ISA C8X combines the trademark ISA sound with comprehensive remote control and all the analogue and digital I/O, routing, and recallability you need to run your entire studio, plus switchable impedance, balanced inserts, and high-pass filtering. The first two channels feature ISA preamps with classic Lundahl LL1538 transformers and Console and 430 Air modes for new tonal options. All eight are fully controllable from the front panel and via Focusrite Control 2.

The relationship between Focusrite and Lundahl Transformers goes back to 1985, when Sir George Martin asked Rupert Neve to design a no-compromise microphone preamp and EQ for the Forte console at AIR Studios in Montserrat. The result became the legendary ISA preamp — featuring the Lundahl LL1538 transformer at its heart.

Since then, the LL1538 has been used in every Focusrite ISA microphone preamp, making it a defining part of the ISA sound. For Lundahl, this long-standing collaboration is a proud example of how Swedish transformer craftsmanship continues to support world-class audio design — from historic analogue consoles to modern studio interfaces like the Focusrite ISA C8X.
