When Craftsmanship Meets Passion
There is something special about seeing our transformers become part of deeply personal projects. Recently, we received a message from Nikos Asimenios of Silver Pickups that truly captured what we love about working in this industry.

About a month ago, Nikos ordered two transformers from us. The first one has already found its place at the heart of a beautifully executed custom project: a hand-built eSSB unit created for his father, an active radio amateur.

A Transformer at the Core
At the center of the design is our LL1527. In this application, the LL1527 is used to convert a balanced signal to unbalanced while enhancing the effective voice frequency spectrum. The result is improved clarity and transmission quality — crucial factors in radio communication, where intelligibility and presence make all the difference.

Seeing our transformer applied in the radio amateur world is a great reminder of how versatile high-quality audio transformers can be. From studio environments to custom DIY builds and advanced communication systems, performance always matters.

Precision Down to the Last Detail
What makes this project even more special is the craftsmanship behind it.

The enclosure was CNC-engraved with impressive precision — and as a gesture of respect for our work, Nikos even engraved the Lundahl transformer logo onto the chassis. It is a detail that speaks volumes about the shared passion between designers, engineers, and audio enthusiasts. For us, this is what it is all about: not just components, but collaboration across borders. Dedication. Pride in craftsmanship.

Designed with Heart

This project was more than a technical build. It was a son designing something meaningful for his father — combining engineering skills with care and appreciation.

“It was once again a pleasure designing around your transformer,” Nikos wrote to us, adding that he truly appreciates the quality and consistent performance our transformers deliver.

Messages like this remind us why we do what we do.

To Nikos — thank you for sharing your work and for allowing us to be part of your project. We look forward to seeing it featured on social media and continuing to follow your creations. Want to know more about Nikos. silverpickups

And to our community: if you have built something around a Lundahl transformer, we would love to see it.
